Sliding door & glass repairs

Sliding door and glass repairs in Melbourne

Most sticking doors need new rollers, not a new door.

A door that drags, jumps its track or won't lock usually needs rollers, a track repair, a lock adjustment or new seals. We check the frame and the glass at the same visit and tell you plainly if replacing makes more sense.

  • Rollers, tracks, locks and handles repaired or replaced
  • Broken and fogged glass replaced, double-glazed units too
  • Draught seals for doors and windows, ahead of Victoria's 1 July 2027 rental rule

Options

What we repair

One visit covers the door, the frame and the glass, and we tell you plainly if replacing makes more sense.

  • Rollers

A door that drags or is hard to push usually has worn or collapsed rollers. New rollers make it glide again.

  • Tracks

A worn or bent track makes a door jump or grind. We clean it, repair it or replace the track insert.

  • Locks and handles

When a door won't lock, the lock or its keeper has usually moved out of line. We adjust it, or replace the lock or handle.

  • Broken or cracked glass

We make the opening safe first, then measure and fit new glass cut to size, with toughened or laminated safety glass where it is needed.

  • Fogged double glazing

Mist between the panes means the seal of a double-glazed unit has failed. We replace the sealed unit and keep the frame.

  • Draught seals

Seals for doors and windows, ahead of Victoria's 1 July 2027 rental rule, fitted along with any repair the door or window needs.

How we work

Measured on site. Quoted in writing. Priced before we start.

  1. Show us the problem. Send a photo on WhatsApp, or tell us what it does: drags, jumps the track, won’t lock, lets draughts in.
  2. We check it on site. The door, the frame and the glass at the same visit.
  3. You get the price in writing. Before any work starts, with a plain answer if replacing makes more sense.
  4. We fix it. Rollers, track, lock or seals put right, and any glass cut to size.

“We've sent a few jobs to these guys and they are super fast, fair priced and no fuss. Highly recommend.”

Questions

Sliding door & glass repairs: common questions

Can you fix a sliding door instead of replacing it?

Usually. A door that drags, jumps the track or won't lock mostly needs new rollers, a cleaned or repaired track, a lock adjustment or new seals. New rollers typically cost about $210 to $270 fitted, or up to $300 for older doors. We check the frame and the glass at the same visit, and tell you plainly if replacing makes more sense.

Why does my sliding door drag or jump the track?

Usually the rollers have worn or collapsed, or the track is worn, bent or full of grit. Both are repairable: new rollers, and a cleaned, repaired or replaced track.

Can you replace fogged or broken double-glazed glass?

Yes. Fogging between the panes means the unit’s seal has failed, so we replace the sealed double-glazed unit and keep the frame. Broken glass is made safe first, then replaced with glass cut to size.

Do Victorian rental homes need draught sealing from 2027?

Consumer Affairs Victoria says that from 1 July 2027 rental properties must have draught-sealing or weather-stripping products fitted to all gaps around external doors and windows. Which leases it applies to, and when, is set by Consumer Affairs Victoria, so check with them or your property manager. We fit door and window seals and repair the sliding doors and windows they go on.

Do you work for landlords and property managers?

Yes. We can be one trade for repeat glass, door and seal work across your properties, including the draught sealing Victorian rentals need from 1 July 2027.
